Adventures of Care: Desolation Sound

This whole long September weekend I spent my time with my boyfriend and his parents on their boat in Desolation Sound. Not only was this a truly beautiful spot it was sincerely an excellent trip! We are very blessed to live in such a beautiful place and this part of BC is magnificent!

Our travels began in Horseshoe Bay...taking the ferry to Langsdale...from Langsdale we drove up the coast to our next Ferry in Earl's Cove (Sechelt area) and drove over to Lund. The whole trip took about 6 hours and accounted for our stops here and there for coffee/tea/snacks.

As we got closer and closer to the dock in Lund, I kept saying to Stuart how fresh the air smelled and how stunningly beautiful the water and shoreline was. I snapped this photo on our drive as I couldn't resist the view.

Once in Lund, we parked and had time to grab some fresh baked goodies from Nancy's Bakery, which is a gem in Lund. They are known for their cinnamon buns, but their foccacia bread is delicious as well!

After the long trip we were now on the boat making our way to Roscoe Bay in Desolation Sound. The water as you can see in this photo above was calm and made for a great travelling day. With the sun on our face and the wind in our hair, we set off for a trip of great food, relaxation, and the wonders of nature in beautiful BC.
